Just before Jesus ascended into heaven he spoke to those that had chosen to follow him and said, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:19,20). If this was Jesus' instruction to the individual Christian, how much more should our Churches fulfill these instructions. Therefore Grace Baptist Church has carefully planned its ministries in order to be a church that:
- Goes: Sharing the Good news of Jesus Christ
- Makes Disciples: Showing how to follow in the Steps of Christ
- Baptizes: Leads them in initial obedience to Christ
- Teaches all things: Explaining the whole Bible
Sunday Morning Worship Service
Sunday Mornings at 10:30 a.m.
Our Sunday morning worship is the apex of our church. There we worship the Lord through prayer, singing joyful sounds, and a message from God’s Word, the Bible. These messages are both challenging and encouraging as they bring out the Bible’s meaning and apply it to everyday life.
Sunday Evening Worship Service
Sunday Evenings at 6:00 p.m.
Our Sunday evening worship is often similar to our morning worship but sometimes we focus the time on things such as prayer for others, fellowship with each other, and Bible study. At Grace we seek to glorify God in all that we do and we want our worship to be pleasing to Him. We hope you will join us as we worship our great God.
Adult Bible Fellowships
Sunday Morning at 9:15 a.m.
On Sunday mornings we adults take an hour before our morning worship service to seek important life truths in God’s Word, the Bible. These groups also spend time fellowshipping together and reaching out to the Harlan Community. We currently have two ABFs at Grace. The first is for our seasoned saints who generally are older with kids out of the home. The second group is for our not quite so seasoned saints. This group includes single adults and parents with kids still in the home. We have found our Adult Bible Fellowships to be an important part of our week and a great encouragement to everyone who participates. Come and join us!
